Early Birds: Blazing Southern California’s Skies
Writer/Director/Producer/Editor Sometimes a story pops up in your own backyard, like when I discovered that pilot Earl S. Daugherty had lived in the house behind mine nearly a century ago. Incorporating some of his 90-year-old footage, I’m looking at how—after the Wright Brothers were first in flight—the focus of aviation shifted to Southern California where the industry evolved, in production.

The Making of…Christmas Tree Lane

Love Sherwood
Shot footage for a documentary on Sherwood Schwartz, creator of Gilligan’s Island and The Brady Bunch. Project was not funded before Schwartz passed away. 2009-2011

Writer/Director A 15-minute narrative short about a fashionista rescued during Hurricane Katrina who must share a room with a girl who’s a fashion disaster. AFI Directing Workshop for Women Fellow, Los Angeles, CA. Won a $5,000 Adrienne Shelly Production Grant on strength of the script. 2008

Talk Me To Death
Writer/Director One of seven directors out of hundreds of applicants chosen to make a film. is a comedy short about rampant cell-phone use at a funeral at the Duke City Shootout in Albuquerque, NM. Shot and edited in seven days as a part of a digital filmmaking competition. Won best editing, audience awards. 2006

Emerging Filmmakers Grant
One of seven women directors given a Women In Film/General Motors sponsorship to attend the Women In Film annual conference, the American Film Market, and to meet with key film executives. CA. 2006
